Love– tag –

This shrine is famous for its "Somei" well, one of the 3 famous wells in Kyoto. The water has been loved by tea masters for hundreds of years. In September, the shrine is beautifully decorated with pink and white bush clovers.

This shrine was established in 701, and it enshrines the god of mountains. The sacred spring water drawn from the well in the precinct is renowned for saving Japanese sake from going bad. Visitors are welcome to taste this sacred water.
