Kitano Tenmangu Shrine was built in 947, and is the headquarter of the 12,000 Tenmangu and Tenjin shrines in Japan. The main enshrined deity is Sugawara no Michizane, one of the most worshipped deity of academics in Japan.

Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine has a history of over 1300 years, and has been worshipped for good harvest, business success, and household safety. Its 'Senbon Torii' is famous for appearing in various animes.
