Munataka Shrine sits at the southwest of Kyoto Imperial Palace. The main enshrined deity, Munataka-Ookami, helps people cut their way through, and gives protection to anything that concerns production.

Jonangu has been worshipped for more than 1200 years for warding off people's bad luck and bringing them fortune. People from all over Japan visit this shrine to pray for their traffic, travel, and house-moving safety.
